This type of weapon was developed from the mortary hilt broadsword and was used throughout the British Isles in a large variety. This broadsword is based upon an original that forms part of the collection of the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow. The sword is 110 cm long with a blade of 94 cm and weighs 1094 grams.
